La Taula's Gastronomic and Literary Dinners continue on Friday 23 October at the restaurant of Hotel Port Jardín Milenio, with another evening dedicated to literature and gastronomy. This time, the guest of honour will be acclaimed author and illustrator Paco Roca, who will present his graphic novel El viaje.
The event continues an established tradition in La Taula's cultural programme, bringing writers and readers together around the table in a relaxed and welcoming setting where guests can discover new books, meet their authors and enjoy the restaurant's cuisine.
For this edition, Paco Roca, author of works such as Arrugas, La casa and El abismo del olvido, will introduce his latest graphic novel, El viaje, published in 2026 by Astiberri. The story follows Fran, who finds himself stranded in a small town in Argentinian Patagonia after his flight is cancelled. As he waits, he begins to reflect on his past and the end of a relationship that lasted almost twenty years. An intimate story about love, memory, relationships and the search for a new beginning.
During the evening, guests will have the opportunity to discover the ideas behind the book and talk to Paco Roca about his creative process, his characters and the stories that inspire his work. It is a chance to explore the world of one of Spain's leading graphic novelists in an atmosphere that encourages conversation and interaction between the author and his readers.
The evening will begin at 9:00 pm at La Taula restaurant, located in Hotel Port Jardín Milenio, and will preserve the essence of the Gastronomic and Literary Dinners: a table, an author and a story as the starting point for an evening where culture and gastronomy come together once again.
With this latest event, La Taula continues its commitment to bringing culture closer to Elche through intimate encounters with prominent figures in contemporary literature and the creative arts, establishing itself as a venue where gastronomy also becomes a meeting point for culture.
