Port Hotels has officially presented the new era of Hotel Port Benidorm at an event attended by more than 300 guests, marking the official unveiling of the property following the comprehensive transformation completed this year.

Representatives from institutions, businesses and the tourism sector, industry professionals, partners and members of Alicante society joined the company for an evening designed to showcase the new positioning of one of its most iconic hotels in Benidorm.

The institutional event was hosted by Elena Vidal, influencer and content creator known as Alicante Street Style, and featured speeches by Toni Pérez, Mayor of Benidorm and President of the Alicante Provincial Council; Marian Cano, Regional Minister for Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism; and Toni Mayor, President of Port Hotels.

During the presentation, speakers highlighted Benidorm’s evolution as a tourist destination and the commitment to a hospitality model capable of continuing to advance in quality, innovation and the creation of new experiences.

According to Toni Mayor, President of Port Hotels, “There came a point when we realised that simply renovating it was not enough; we had to reimagine it. We set out to transform Port Benidorm into a hotel capable of representing the Benidorm of today and, above all, the Benidorm we want for the future: modern, international, innovative and able to offer ever greater quality and better experiences.”

An official unveiling centred on experience

The celebration gave guests a taste of the spirit that defines this new chapter for the hotel. Gastronomy, live music and a variety of surprises accompanied an evening designed to encourage guests to explore and discover the new spaces at Hotel Port Benidorm.

One of the highlights of the evening was a live painting experience, which gradually took shape before the guests throughout the event, adding an artistic dimension to a celebration defined by connection and experience.

The event brought together institutions, the business community, tourism professionals and wider society around the hotel’s new chapter, turning the property into a meeting point during one of Port Hotels’ most significant evenings in Benidorm.

A transformation that redefines Hotel Port Benidorm

Hotel Port Benidorm reopened its doors last May following a complete renovation of its rooms, communal areas and outdoor spaces, as well as the addition of the new Sky Tower, which brings the property to 26 floors and increases its capacity to 410 rooms.

The hotel is now structured around two connected towers, The Blue Tower and the new Sky Tower. On the upper floors of the latter is The Iconic by Port Hotels, an exclusive elevated concept comprising 20 rooms with premium services and a more personalised experience.

The transformation also includes new gastronomic, wellness and event spaces, including La Terrasse Rooftop, located across floors 19 and 20, as well as six spaces dedicated to the MICE segment.

With this event, Port Hotels presents the city and the tourism sector with the result of one of its strategic projects in Benidorm, consolidating a new chapter for a property that has been closely linked to the destination for decades and is now looking ahead with a more contemporary vision connected to the Mediterranean.

MOLA Foodtruck will participate in A LAS BRAVAS, the first Alicante Bravas Championship, with a proposal created especially for this great gastronomic event that will bring together some of the most prominent establishments in the city from September 25th to 27th at Plaza Séneca.

The Hotel Port Alicante food truck will have its own stand within the event venue, where it will present a creation that turns traditional patatas bravas into an experience as fun as it is delicious. Under the idea of “a brava you read before you eat,” the dish invites attendees to discover the word MOLA before the first bite.

The proposal consists of crispy potatoes in the shape of the letters M·O·L·A, served over an intense bravas sauce made with roasted tomato, ñora pepper, and paprika, accompanied by a creamy roasted garlic aioli, puffed rice, fresh chives, and tomato powder. A creative reinterpretation of a classic that combines flavor, texture, and a very recognizable nod to the MOLA identity.

A LAS BRAVAS will be held at Plaza Séneca with free admission, offering a three-day program designed for all audiences that will include performances, entertainment, guided tastings, and a DJ session with Alicante vermouths. Furthermore, the championship will have a very special ingredient: visitors themselves will choose, after tasting the different proposals, which are the best bravas in Alicante by casting their vote.

From Port Hotels, we invite all gastronomy lovers to come to our stand and discover a proposal designed to surprise at first sight. Because before you eat them... you will have to find MOLA.

The establishment, operated by Port Hotels, presents a new experiential proposal focused on contemporary design, well-being, and a connection with the Mediterranean.

With this new edition, BOGA continues to develop its leisure and dining proposal in Playa de San Juan, with initiatives designed for both hotel guests and the local public, and aligned with each time of year. Port Hotels has been honoured with the RSC Hotelera 2025 Award in the Social category, a distinction that recognises the group’s commitment to promoting an inclusive tourism model through the “Autism Friendly” project. The award, presented during the 20th Spanish Hoteliers Congress held in Cartagena, highlights the implementation of the project across the entire chain, making Port Hotels the first hotel group in Spain to adopt this certified cognitive accessibility model on a global scale.

The jury praised the originality, social impact and strategic integration of the initiative, as well as its pioneering nature as the first certified cognitive accessibility model in Spain to be applied across an entire hotel chain. The “Autism Friendly” project has been developed and certified in collaboration with Autism Friendly Club, an initiative led by professionals from the social sector, specialising in cognitive accessibility and in identifying and supporting autism-friendly environments.

The implementation includes specialised training for staff, adapted signage, cognitive support tools in different areas, and personalised protocols that ensure a more comprehensible, safe and calm stay for guests on the autism spectrum.

Ana Mayor, Vice President of Port Hotels and the person who accepted the award on behalf of the company, stated:

“Receiving this recognition is an honour that reaffirms a deep conviction: hospitality has always been a driver of social inclusion. The hotel sector, by its very nature, is in constant contact with diverse realities, and that sensitivity allows us to move towards more accessible and human-centred models.”

The award strengthens the group’s social strategy, framed within Guest of the Planet, the initiative that guides Port Hotels’ commitment to responsible, human and sustainable tourism. The chain will continue implementing actions aimed at universal accessibility and the inclusion of diverse groups.

With more than 650,000 people with ASD in Spain, Port Hotels is committed to leading a much-needed shift in the sector and consolidating its role as a benchmark in cognitive accessibility and inclusive tourism.

On Friday, October 24, 2025, the La Taula restaurant at the Hotel Port Jardín Milenio will host a new edition of the Gastronomic-Literary Dinners, a series now established as a meeting point between culture and gastronomy in the city of Elche. On this occasion, the guest will be the writer Guillermo Alonso, who will talk about his book EL EFECTO DESEADO.

Organized in collaboration with the Elche-based Ali i Truc bookstore, the meeting maintains its intimate and exclusive format, with limited capacity, to foster close dialogue with the author. The evening will begin at 9:00 PM at La Taula, where attendees will enjoy a menu designed for the occasion while conversing with Alonso about his work and his career.

Guillermo Alonso has earned a place of his own in Spanish narrative for his incisive perspective and modern prose. In EL EFECTO DESEADO, his most recent book, he proposes an absorbing and contemporary read that invites reflection and conversation. Given the anticipation and the limited number of places, booking in advance is recommended.

On the upcoming September 21, 2025, Benidorm will once again experience a very special day with the celebration of the 3rd Edition of the Solidarity Race, an event promoted by the Benidorm City Council and organized by the Socio-Cultural Association of the Local Police of Benidorm in collaboration with the Benidorm Athletics Club. An event where sport, community, and solidarity come together to support children fighting against childhood cancer.

The proceeds from this edition will be donated to ASPANION, the Association of Mothers and Fathers of Children with Cancer of the Valencian Community, which, thanks to these types of initiatives, can maintain its psychological, social, and financial support programs, as well as the foster homes that provide great relief to many families.

The event will feature different categories so that everyone can participate: 10 km and 5 km races and children's trials designed for the little ones. In addition, throughout the day there will be entertainment, music, activities, and an atmosphere charged with positive energy that will make this day an unforgettable experience.

At Port Hotels, we are very proud to be able to support this cause, not only as sponsors but also by joining in firsthand. Our team will participate in the race because we firmly believe that every step counts and that together we can reach out to those who need it most.

We are convinced that Benidorm will once again show its most supportive side and that hundreds of people will gather with the same purpose: to raise awareness about childhood cancer and accompany the families who face it with courage. It will be a day to share strength, hope, and smiles.

Port Hotels, a hotel chain with 11 hotels in Elche, Alicante, Benidorm, Calpe, Dénia and Valencia, renews the Bioscore Certification in all its accommodations. Internationally recognized, the Bioscore Certification evaluates sustainability through compliance with its own standard, which is recognized by the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourist Council). This prestigious certification is proof of Port Hotels' commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The Bioscore certification evaluates multiple aspects of sustainability, including energy efficiency, waste management, responsible use of natural resources, and sustainable labor practices. Port Hotels' properties have implemented a series of measures to reduce their environmental impact and promote more responsible tourism.

The Benidorm-based hotel group has worked to integrate sustainable practices into its daily operations across all departments, such as the implementation of presence sensor systems and energy-saving devices, recycling programs and reduction of single-use plastics, installation of drinking water dispensers, processes to minimize food waste, and collaboration with local suppliers to reduce the carbon footprint, among others.

This year, the company has incorporated the calculation of its water footprint into its sustainability standards to optimize resources and reduce environmental impact. Water footprint data is relevant for planning long-term sustainable strategies that ensure the resilience of the establishments against possible water shortages in the future.

“The renewal of the Bioscore certification in all our establishments is an important milestone for Port Hotels. It not only reflects our Guests of The Planet commitment, but also offers our guests the peace of mind of knowing that they are choosing responsible accommodations,” states Ana Mayor, Vice President of Port Hotels. “We believe it is our responsibility to take care of the environment and the community in which we operate, and this certification is a significant step towards that goal.’’

Port Hotels is committed to innovation and adapting to new trends to continue offering unique experiences to its guests and visitors. This summer, the chain is launching an exclusive traveling cocktail bar on the rooftops of two of its most iconic hotels: Boga Sky Bar, located on the 10th floor of the Hotel Port Alicante City & Beach, and La Terrasse, located on the 18+1 floor of the Hotel Port Benidorm Hotel & Spa.

These spaces have established themselves as benchmarks in Alicante and Benidorm thanks to their spectacular panoramic views and exclusive atmospheres, perfect for enjoying from the afternoon until night. Boga Sky Bar, located at San Juan Beach, stands out for its modern and elegant design with views of the Mediterranean Sea, while La Terrasse offers a vibrant and pleasant environment with privileged views of the sea and Benidorm's iconic skyline.

The main novelty of this proposal is a cocktail menu inspired by iconic international cultures and destinations. At Boga Sky Bar, visitors can enjoy creations that transport them to Japan, Morocco, the United States, and Greece, crafted with selected ingredients and artisanal techniques that reflect the essence of each region. At La Terrasse, the proposal travels through flavors from China, Peru, Mexico, and Italy, with original combinations designed to surprise and delight the most demanding palates.

One of the most distinctive elements of this initiative is the collaboration with local artisans, who bring their talent and authenticity to the experience. Among them are Noelia, from the brand nel_alc, who has exclusively designed a special presentation element; El Taller de Piñero, creator of the iconic artisanal glasses well-recognized in Alcoy; and Fran Segura, recognized as one of the best chocolatiers

in Europe, who has devised exclusive sweet pairings using local ingredients to enhance the sensory experience. This alliance with local artisans and producers reflects Port Hotels' firm commitment to the territory, supporting the talent of the Valencian Community, promoting the local economy, and offering visitors experiences that connect with the Mediterranean identity and culture.

With this initiative, Port Hotels reaffirms its commitment to innovation, excellence, and the promotion of the talent and resources of its surroundings, consolidating Alicante and Benidorm as benchmark destinations for leisure and gastronomy in the province.

Port Hotels continues to advance in its commitment to inclusion, accessibility and social sustainability with the certification of its Hotel Port Azafata as the first Autism Friendly hotel in the Valencian Community. This certification, awarded by the Autism Friendly Club, recognises Hotel Port Azafata as a space adapted to the needs of people on the autism spectrum, positioning it as a benchmark within the regional hospitality sector.

The process to achieve this certification involved comprehensive training for over 70% of the hotel’s staff, the adaptation of common areas with pictogram signage, and the implementation of personalised protocols to ensure a safer, more understandable and comfortable experience for all guests. Key initiatives include priority check-in, quiet rooms, special breakfast arrangements and the availability of sensory kits for moments of sensory overload.

This initiative is part of Guest of the Planet, Port Hotels’ social commitment to fostering responsible, accessible and sustainable tourism. Through this programme, the group promotes projects and certifications that enhance guest wellbeing and encourage the inclusion of diverse communities, consolidating Port Hotels as a leading example of social integration within the tourism sector.

Diego Fernández Pérez de Ponga, CEO of Port Hotels, commented:
"This certification reflects Port Hotels’ true commitment to people. We want to build a more human, accessible and inclusive way of travelling – and this is just the beginning of a path we are determined to follow."

Alberto Gutiérrez, President of Autism Friendly Club Global, added:
"Cognitive accessibility is an urgent need in tourism. Port Azafata Hotel has led the way in its region, showing that with the right training and intent, truly inclusive spaces can be created. This certification places the hotel at the forefront of tourism designed for everyone."

Port Hotels aims to extend these practices to other properties across the group, focusing on universal accessibility and neurodiversity. In Spain, over 650,000 people are on the autism spectrum – both children and adults travelling for leisure or business – highlighting a growing need for adapted accommodation and greater social responsibility.

With this milestone, Port Hotels reinforces its commitment to an inclusive, innovative and accessible model of tourism for all.

Port Hotels, a hotel group with eleven establishments in the Valencian Community, becomes the official sponsor of Elche Club de Fútbol for the 2025/26 season. The one-season partnership gives the hotel brand visibility on the back of the collar of the official first team shirt, just above the players’ names.

The collaboration between both entities goes beyond a commercial agreement. It is a strategic and emotional alliance built on shared values such as effort, closeness, hospitality and a commitment to the region. Both Port Hotels and Elche C.F. are benchmarks in their respective sectors and true ambassadors of the city.

The partnership with the Franjiverde club—a centenary club with strong ties to both the city and the province—represents a unique opportunity to generate visibility and support for the team during a crucial season, as it returns to the top tier of Spanish football.

“This agreement represents a strategic and emotional alliance with a city with which we share values, energy and a very particular way of doing things,” said Ana Mayor, Vice President of Port Hotels. “The Elche shirt is not just a sporting symbol. It is history, identity and emotion. For us, to be part of it this season is a true honour and a great responsibility.”

Meanwhile, Diego Fernández, CEO of Port Hotels, highlighted the group’s long-term vision in Elche: “For us, this sponsorship is a firm step in our growth strategy based on authenticity and a genuine connection with the region. Elche is already one of our main hubs of activity and growth. This alliance is born from the desire to contribute—to actively support the social, tourism and economic development of the city, and to be part of its progress.”

Joaquín Buitrago, President of Elche C.F., expressed his strong support for the arrival of this new sponsor: “Port Hotels is a brand that has been creating value from this land and investing in it for years. We are delighted to have their support in this new chapter, which we approach with enthusiasm and ambition.”

The Port Hotels logo will be featured throughout the season on the official first team shirts, on selected advertising boards at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium, and on the backdrop of the press room, the mixed zone, pre- and post-match flash interviews, and superflash areas.

After winning over the public in its first edition, Boga Blossoms returns for the second consecutive year as one of the great summer events in Playa de San Juan. Next Thursday, August 21st, starting at 8:30 PM, the Boga Sky Bar rooftop, located on the 10th floor of the Hotel Port Alicante City & Beach, will once again become an elevated stage to experience a special night where the music, flavors, and energy of the Mediterranean merge into a single experience.

In the heat of the summer, Boga Sky Bar presents a sensory proposal that combines roots and avant-garde. The immersive rhythms of flamenco house, live performances, meticulous attention to detail in the setting, and signature cocktails are accompanied by a cocktail-style dinner with food stations designed to surprise. The food stations will offer a selection of fresh, creative preparations inspired by the Mediterranean, which will accompany the experience as the sun goes down.

Having become one of the most unique rooftops in the province, Boga Sky Bar has established itself as a meeting point for those looking for different plans, a sophisticated atmosphere, and good music outdoors. This event brings together in one night all the ingredients that have made this rooftop a summer must-see: panoramic views, rhythm, creativity, and Mediterranean essence.

Tickets are now available at an advance sale price of €50, to experience the best summer atmosphere by the sea.

The platform allows for centralized and efficient management of requests, connecting the guest directly with the different hotel departments and streamlining response times. Thanks to this integration, Port Hotels improves daily operations and reinforces service quality, which is key to its philosophy of attention to detail.

With this initiative, Port Hotels reaffirms its vision for the future, betting on a more connected, agile experience adapted to the new habits of its guests. The goal is clear: to continue evolving to offer more personalized and memorable stays, now also through digital tools that facilitate and improve every moment of the visit.

As part of its commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency, the Valencia-based hotel chain Port Hotels is launching a new system to monitor and reduce food waste in its kitchens. The pilot project is being carried out at the Hotel Port Europa in Calpe, and is a step forward in its ‘Guests of the Planet’ environmental strategy.

The initiative incorporates advanced technology to collect data in real time using smart digital scales. This system makes it possible to accurately measure and analyse daily food waste, identify critical points in processes and apply specific strategies for improvement. The goal: to optimise the use of resources, reduce operating costs and minimise environmental impact.

This project is developed in line with the principles of THE PLEDGE on Food Waste, a global platform that encourages companies in the tourism and catering sector to adopt good practices in the prevention of food waste. In addition, it actively contributes to the fulfilment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), 13 (Climate Action) and 17 (Partnerships for Achieving the Goals).

The city of Elche is celebrating its Jubilee Year with an extensive programme of cultural, musical and theatrical activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the declaration of the Dogma of the Assumption. In this context, La Taula Restaurant, located in the Hotel Port Jardín Milenio, has designed an exclusive menu that pays tribute to Elche's culinary tradition and local, seasonal ingredients.

This special menu, available during the Jubilee Year, is based on a careful selection of fresh produce from the orchard and the Mediterranean Sea, enhancing the authentic flavours of the local gastronomy. From starters that combine traditional textures and nuances with an innovative touch, to rice made with quality products, each dish has been designed to offer a gastronomic experience that connects with the essence of Elche.

La Taula Restaurant invites locals and visitors to enjoy this unique proposal, which becomes one more way to live and savour the celebration of the Jubilee Year.
