Elche CF presented
Lucas Cepeda this Wednesday as the new signing for the first team during the winter transfer window. The event took place at the
Hotel Huerto del Cura by Port Hotels, the club's official sponsor, and marked the brand-new Elche signing's first contact with the media.
Accompanied by Pedro Schinocca, the club's general manager, Cepeda shared his initial feelings and showed his enthusiasm for the challenge of joining the Elche CF discipline at a key moment of the season: "I chose Elche because from the first moment I felt the club's interest. That filled me with excitement and joy."
"I am going to give 100% to bring joy to the fans. The team is spectacular, my teammates have given me confidence, and I feel I am arriving in a very healthy dressing room," he assured during his presentation press conference.
The Chilean winger, who arrives from CSD Colo-Colo until 2030, lands at the Elche club as a bet for the present and the future, with the goal of strengthening the squad and adding talent to the team for the decisive stretch of the season. A senior international with Chile, he is considered one of the great talents of the South American country.
Cepeda, 23, stands out for his speed and his ability to dribble past opponents. His trophy cabinet already includes two titles: a Chilean Primera División title and a Chilean Super Cup, achieved with Colo-Colo in 2024.

The choice of the Hotel Huerto del Cura for this presentation reinforces the relationship between Elche CF and Port Hotels, the club's official sponsor and a hotel group closely linked to the city. Furthermore, during his first days as a club player, Lucas Cepeda has stayed at the Hotel Huerto del Cura.
Port Hotels has become one of the most prominent supporters this season in Elche CF's return to the Primera División, being present on the back of the neck of the first team's official jerseys.
