Port Hotels and Elche Club de Fútbol have
strengthened their partnership ahead of the 2026/27 season by renewing the agreement under which the hotel group will remain an
Official Sponsor of the club. The renewal continues a relationship that began last season and enables Port Hotels to maintain its association with one of the province of Alicante’s leading sporting institutions.
The renewal was formally signed this Friday at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium, at an event attended by Diego Fernández Pérez de Ponga, CEO of Port Hotels, and Joaquín Buitrago, President of Elche C.F., representing the two organisations. Following a successful first season together, the partnership continues as a shared commitment to strengthening the ties between the club, the city and their deep roots in the Valencian Community, as well as the values of hard work, close connections and continuous improvement.
The agreement will also ensure that Port Hotels retains a prominent presence alongside the first team throughout the 2026/27 season. In particular, the hotel group’s brand will once again appear on the back of the collar of the first team’s official shirt, one of the partnership’s main visibility assets. This presence carries additional significance given Port Hotels’ own strong connection with the city, as Elche is one of the destinations in which the hotel group operates, with three of the area’s most prominent hotels: Hotel Huerto del Cura, Hotel Port Jardín Milenio and Hotel Port Elche, located in the heart of the Elche Business Park.
During the signing, Diego Fernández Pérez de Ponga, CEO of Port Hotels, highlighted the importance of continuing a partnership that allows the company to further strengthen its ties with both the club and the city of Elche. He emphasised the value of once again being part of the project of an organisation that represents the city and enjoys a strong connection with its supporters and the local community.
For his part, Joaquín Buitrago, President of Elche C.F., highlighted the trust that Port Hotels has placed in the club, consolidating a relationship that began last season and will now continue throughout 2026/27. Both organisations share the ambition of ensuring that the partnership continues to grow over time, further strengthening the hotel group’s links with the club through its presence on the team shirt and across various branding spaces within the stadium.
With this agreement, Port Hotels and Elche C.F. reinforce a partnership that goes beyond the presence of a brand on a football shirt, with its strongest connection rooted in both organisations’ close ties to Elche and the Valencian Community.
