Port Hotels joins the commemoration of World Alzheimer’s Day with a gathering alongside
AFA Marina Baixa, an association working in Benidorm and the surrounding area to support people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as their families.
The gathering took place last
Tuesday, 15 September at VANTE Urban Café, where members, relatives and professionals from the association spent the morning together in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The visit offered them the chance to enjoy a different setting outside their usual routine and share a morning together in one of Port Hotels’ spaces open to the city.
The gathering takes on special significance as it coincides with World Alzheimer’s Day, observed every year on 21 September to raise awareness of the realities faced by people living with the condition and to recognise the essential role played by their families, carers and the associations that support them.
AFA Marina Baixa carries out important work providing care, support and guidance to people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia across the region, as well as to their families, through a range of programmes and services aimed at improving their quality of life.
The visit took place at VANTE Urban Café, Port Hotels’ café located at Hotel Port Benidorm with direct street access. Just a short distance from Levante Beach, the space combines speciality coffee, brunch and an all day dining food offering in a contemporary setting designed to become part of everyday life in Benidorm and a meeting point for residents, visitors and hotel guests.
Through this initiative, Port Hotels continues to strengthen its ties with Benidorm’s social community, opening its spaces to local associations and supporting actions that help raise awareness of their work and the people they support.
