The ancient Greeks used the word ékleipsis to describe the moment when the Sun seemed to disappear from the sky. For the civilisations that sailed the Mediterranean, an eclipse was far more than an astronomical phenomenon: it was an extraordinary event, capable of inspiring myths and making time stand still.
At sunset, over the Benidorm horizon, the Moon will almost completely cover the Sun. The eclipse will begin at around 7:39 pm and reach its maximum at 8:34 pm, when approximately 99.5% of the Sun will be obscured. An image as extraordinary as it is fleeting, to be enjoyed from the heights of La Terrasse Rooftop.
