Port Hotels celebrates the recognition of its president, Toni Mayor, with the Joaquín Rocamora Business Award
Port Hotels is proud to announce that its president, Toni Mayor, has been awarded the prestigious Joaquín Rocamora Business Award, at a ceremony held at the emblematic Ansaldo Tower in Sant Joan d'Alacant.
This recognition, promoted by the Institute of Economic Studies of the Province of Alicante (INECA), Banco Sabadell and the newspaper INFORMACIÓN, highlights the outstanding career of Toni Mayor in the tourism industry of the Costa Blanca and his leadership at the head of Port Hotels. Under his direction, the chain has experienced constant growth, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the hotel sector of the Valencian Community.
During the event, Toni Mayor defended the role of tourism as an "economic engine" and a "social phenomenon", regretting that, at times, the sector has not received the "affection and justice it deserves". He also called for improved financing of the Valencian Community and for forgiveness of the "historical debt" it is burdened with.
This award is added to other recognitions that Toni Mayor has recently received, such as the Gold and Diamond Medal awarded by the Alicante Chamber of Commerce in October 2024, in honor of his contribution to the development of the hotel sector and his defense of tourism as an economic and social engine.
Port Hotels congratulates its president for this well-deserved recognition and reaffirms its commitment to continue offering exceptional experiences to its guests, contributing to the economic and social development of the region.
