Port Hotels, a hotel chain based in Benidorm with 11 establishments across six destinations in the Valencian Community, has been honored with the Excellence Award for Sanitary Management of Water Facilities by Hosbec.
This year, two of its establishments in Benidorm received this prestigious recognition. The Hotel Port Benidorm, awarded for the third consecutive year, and the Hotel Port Fiesta Park, receiving the honor for the first time, further consolidate the chain’s leadership in responsible and sustainable practices within the hospitality sector.
Both Port Benidorm and Port Fiesta Park were recognized for their outstanding water hygiene standards, excelling in key areas such as daily cleaning and disinfection, monitoring chlorine and pH levels, water sampling in compliance with current regulations, and ensuring the quality of drinking water. Additionally, the chain has invested in specialized training for its teams on pool maintenance and hygienic-sanitary management of facilities with a risk of legionella.
“This recognition is especially meaningful to us as it reflects the combined efforts of our operational and management teams, further strengthening Port Hotels’ commitment to the health and well-being of our guests,” said Ana Mayor, Vice President of Port Hotels.
Hosbec, the Hotel and Tourism Business Association of the Valencian Community, has been presenting the Hosbec Awards for Excellence in Sanitary Management since 2018. These awards aim to “highlight the efforts made by the honorees and the industry as a whole in going beyond legal requirements to achieve the highest standards in food and water safety.”
