Last Wednesday, the Family Business Association of the province of Alicante announced the names of the companies that will be awarded in the twenty-eighth edition of the AEFA Awards. On this occasion, the Board of Directors of the association have decided to grant this recognition to the companies Plásticas Inden with the Generalitat Award, Avecox with the Alicante Provincial Council Award and Port Hotels with the CaixaBank Award.
The family business Port Hotels, with headquarters and origin in Benidorm, will be awarded the CaixaBank Award for its expansion, growth and capacity to adapt in the tourism sector. The hotel chain operates 11 establishments with more than 4,000 beds in the province of Alicante and Valencia, standing out for its influence and commitment to local values.
The Commercial Director of CaixaBank Business in the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia, Felipe Pulido, highlighted during the event that “at CaixaBank, we are aware of the importance of family businesses, therefore, we assume the commitment to support them with all our means, human, technological and financial. We are and we want to continue being the reference entity in the province of Alicante and in the Valencian Community as a whole.”
The AEFA Awards were created more than two decades ago with the aim of highlighting and recognizing the business and family history of family businesses in the province of Alicante for their contribution to the creation of wealth and employment in the territory, as well as for its commitment to innovation, internationalization, entrepreneurship, competitiveness and involvement with society. The awards ceremony will take place on October 2 at 12:00 p.m. at the Círculo Industrial de Alcoi.
